This part is applicable to flame quenchable cold work steels delivered in hot rolled, forged or machined conditions.

This standard specifies stainless and heat-resisting steel grades and chemical composition(see Table 1~Table 5).Physical properties of some steel grades, table of comparable grades in designation systems from other countries and applicable standards for stainless and heat-resisting steels are listed in the informative annexes.
The steel grades and chemical composition limits specified in this standard are applicable to development and revising of product standards for stainless and heat-resisting steels(including ingots and semi-finished products).
