This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and designation, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transport and storage for glass filament yarn.
This standard is applicable to continuous fibre single yarn and plied yarn with average filament diameter less than 13 μm and linear density less than 600tex, but not applicable to roving, staple fibre yarns or textured yarn.
