This standard specifies the methods to establish and implement the immersion quenching process, the requirements of using quenchant, technical requirements of immersion quenching devices, quenching crane, operation machine, manipulator and quenching fixture, quality control and inspection, operation safety and environmental protection, etc.
This standard is applicable to the immersion quenching of steel, but not to other quenching processes.For immersion quenching of other metallic materials, this standard could also be referenced.
